I'm turning 40, which is a milestone of an age, so what better way to celebrate than to collectively do something that will have an impact for years to come?

A luxury worth spreading...

Have you ever heard a story that's inspiring, but more than that, it's a story that keeps echoing in your mind?

Well, that was me this past year after listening to the story of how Charity Water came to be. They have split the charity so the operational costs are paid for by a specific type of fundraising, but general donations actually go 100% to the building of wells by locals. The founder actually started fundraising by donating his birthday to the cause - and so it's become a tradition.

This also reminded me of just how little thought I ever have to give to having clean water.
