Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.

I'm donating proceeds from my Beautycounter business to this campaign. Beautycounter is committed to making clean and safe products, so that what you use on your skin is as safe as our drinking water. They are so committed to safe products for us, our children, and our future generations that they are lobbying Congress to pass laws that restrict the use of ingredients that are proven harmful. That way anything you buy will be safe. Right now many common products here in the states contain proven carcinogens and hormone disrupters. We want to keep those scary ingredients (many of which are banned in the EU) off of the biggest organ of our bodies, our skin.
