In the next three months, I'm going to run 100 miles for charity:water. Maybe. How far I run is up to you...
The rules are relatively simple...for every $10 dollars in donations, I will run 1 mile. When the goal of $1000 is reached, that's it. For all you measure people out there, I'll also be creating a dashboard to monitor the progress on my blog (link to come).
For those of you serious runners out there, 100 miles might not seem like a challenging goal. But I've never run more than a mile at a time, and never run/walked more than a 5K. So it's going to take me a bit of dedication.
The best part: 100% of everything we raise will go straight to building water projects in the field. Then, when the projects are complete, charity: water will show us just where they are and who they're helping (with GPS coordinates, photos and other details). We'll be able to see the communities we've impacted.
Let's open up our wallets people, and I'll lace up my running shoes.
