Friends + Family,

This year I have pledged the symbolic turning of my 28th birthday (March 4th) to charity: water - a badass charity providing something we all take for granted each and every day...clean water.

You may be wondering, how is turning 28 symbolic?Well, it's not symbolic at all. But you could help make it be!

If you're a friend, 99.9% of the time, none of you would have planned on sending me a gift on my birthday, nor would I expect one - it's just not something we do. You might send a text with well wishes, or perhaps in the event you saw me, you would have offered to buy me a drink.

If you're family, most likely you would send a card, or even the unnecessarily generous check.

In lieu of that fantastic Ketel Martini or witty card, I ask that instead, you help me in helping those who need it so, so much more than we do.

Many of us, if not all, have any idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- the damn water in our toilets is clean. But many people around the world don’t have that luxury.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me. I would be deeply grateful if you donated to my campaign -- anything you can give is a MASSIVE help.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped which is quite awesome. They will even send you tax receipts immediately after contributions are placed. Can't beat it with a stick.
