There are 800 million people in the world living without access to clean water.Help me run the problem out of town!

Have you ever said, “I’m dying of thirst?” If so, I bet you didn’t really mean it.

If you’re like me, you don’t spend too much time thinking about water -- it’s everywhere we go. When we’re thirsty, we flip a handle or push a button. When we’re dirty, we twist a shower knob. When our garden needs watering, when our pasta needs to be boiled, when we use the bathroom -- water is just an arm's length away.

I want to try to mean it this coming November when I run the Brooklyn Marathon.
In many developing countries, women and children walk for hours, up and down mountains, just to collect water that can end up making them really sick. That means that I should be able to run 26.2 miles to get sanitary, safe water for these people.

Help me play a small part in solving the water crisis -- PLEASE donate to my campaign. If we raise just $10,000 we can fund the creation of a well to extract clean water for these thirsty people. We can also provide filtration systems that will dramatically decrease the amount of water-borne illnesses.

100% of everything we raise will directly fund water projects. And when those projects are finished, charity: water will send us proof in pictures and GPS coordinates, so we can see the actual people and communities we impacted.
