Hi, my name is Rosalie Biedron. I am an international show jumper competing at the Sunshine Tour in Vejer, Spain. I am fortunate enough to always have access to clean water. It is essential for the health and care of my horses, and it is also vital for myself and fellow competitors as athletes. However, there are some people who are not afforded this luxury.
“Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.”
So, I started a fundraising campaign with Charity Water to help those who do not have access to clean water. I am competing four horses at the Sunshine Tour and will be donating all prize money I win to my campaign: Ride For Water. During week 1, I won 240$ and have kicked off my campaign with this donation. I encourage other riders to do the same by Riding For Water and ask that people show their support by donating to my campaign and spreading awareness. My goal is to raise 5,000$ to bring clean water to those in need and in doing so affect a small amount of positive change in the world.
