I don’t spend any time thinking about water -- it’s everywhere I go. I flip a handle or push a button. When I'm dirty, I twist a shower knob. I water my lawn with it. I flush my toilet with it. It's everywhere.
But, these women from the Sahel rip themselves up everyday of their lives. Just to get their kids enough water to keep them alive. Water is nowhere for them.
What do I want for my birthday ? To express a sliver of gratitude for my amazing life. To help just a woman or two, with a burdened life in the Sahel, with a regular tap of fresh and reliable water.
