There are 800 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Let's change that!
My birthday is almost here and I'm really thankful to have lived another happy, healthy year. For my 24th birthday, instead of waiting for cool things like presents and gift card to come rolling in, I'd like to make a lasting impact that's much more meaningful, and I need your help!
I recently learned that millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. We can help change that.
So instead of sending presents, well-wishes and whatnot, I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know, with the hope that we can raise a little bit to change some lives. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries (seriously! 100 cents on the dollar goes right to the field. The workers in Charity Water are paid through earmarked donation) .
Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
So if you're a close friend, family or even if you hate me, you can help me reach my goal. Please donate to my birthday campaign! It's honestly the best donation you could make and it would make my birthday.
Happy Birthday
