Welcome to my campaign page, 30 for 30!

With my thirtieth birthday fast approaching, I found myself dreaming up ideas in how I should celebrate. My spontaneous and adventurous soul didn't take long in deciding to fly from Houston, Texas, to Tanzania, Africa, to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. I even found a trek that would reach the summit on my birthday, July 24th! I was set on making it happen until I realized just how expensive the trip would be. While I still intend on making the dream a reality someday, I want to properly budget for it which means that trip will likely not take place in 2019. Fortunately for me, I recognize that the mountain isn't going anywhere.

That realization took me back to the drawing board for my birthday celebration. It was about that time when I learned of Charity: Water through Lewis Howes' podcast The School of Greatness. Episode 117 introduced me to this charity's founder, Scott Harrison. His story was so compelling. He shared so much like how every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. Being a mother myself, and a compassionate human being in general, it opened my eyes and reminded me that I have much to be grateful for.

That's when I decided to pledge my birthday by creating this campaign. If you are reading this, please consider donating $30.00 in honor of my 30th birthday. Anything you can give will help, but if 30 people make a donation of $30.00 then I will reach my goal of raising enough to change the lives of 30 people. Hence, 30 for 30!

Please note that 100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
