Hi everyone! My birthday is soon approaching and this year, I wish to dedicate the month of my birthday for a philanthropic cause. Every year as I get older, I appreciate more and more of the luxuries I've been blessed with. Many of us have no idea what it is like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink daily, even the water in our toilets is clean. For those of you who catch me at school, work, or gym, you know that I even carry around a gallon of water to drink. Unfortunately, many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children have to walk for up to 4 hours a day for just a few drops of water, and eventually die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. It doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world. I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build projects around the world and I'm hoping my friends and family can help. So instead of buying me a drink on my birthday, please make a donation for a child to have clean water to drink everyday; anything you can give is a huge help. Each dollar counts and 100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects. For those of you who do donate, thank you for giving me the best birthday present ever!
