In the spirit of the new year I have been thinking a lot about the idea of “generosity" its something I care deeply about. In fact I’ve been saying that my word for 2017 is “generosity,” as it is something I want to practice more and more. I think most of us who live in the United States can say we are very blessed. In fact the idea of not having clean drinking water seems crazy.

Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world. My friends over at charity water have been doing amazing things for many years and they have brought the total people in the world without clean drinking water way down. And I wanna be around to see the day that it hits zero.

So for my birthday this year I am asking you to do something radical and I appreciate if your are just able to share this or be along to watch the story unfold. On January 28th I will be turning 20 years old. I am asking a 20 for 20. I want to help bring 20 people clean drinking water for my 20th birthday.

Im very optimistic for the future and believe that we can be can be alive to see the day where everyone has access to clean drinking water. Let’s get it to zero.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
