Most of us take for granted our easy access to clean water. It is never far from reach and we usually don't have to think twice about getting or using it.

Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. Diarrheal disease associated with dirty water is a leading cause of death in the developing world. Simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters help provide clean water to communities around the world.

Charity: water brings clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations. 100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

I learned about this campaign from another company, Vimergy, who is actually matching donations so I made a team with them because instead of reaching 50 people with my campaign, it'd actually help 100 people!

There is no pressure to donate any specific amount. Whatever feels right for you, however small or big, is totally awesome, perfect, and greatly appreciated!

I read that when we sincerely give something away, we feel the experience that we had it to give away in the first place. In this case, if this charity resonates with you and you decide to donate, you experience having more than enough money for your own needs and to share (and also maybe that you're thankful for access to clean water). Over the next couple of days and weeks, most of us will probably be spending time with loved ones and buying gifts and things for others and ourselves. I guess what I'm getting at is during the holiday season, I hope you find plenty to be thankful for and if you feel compelled to do so, contribute and appreciate the experience of being able to give and pass it forward :)
