My son, Benjamin Parker, left a legacy of helping those not necessarily in a position to help themselves. Last year, for his 21st birthday, we partnered with charity:water to fund water projects in developing countries to carry on that legacy. We were thrilled earlier this year to learn Ben’s water projects are currently underway in Sierra Leone--one of the world’s poorest countries where 58.9% of the total population lacks access to an improved water source for drinking, over 90% of the people don’t have access to toilets & one out of five children dies before their fifth birthday, many from preventable water-related illnesses. We were so moved by the life-changing impact access to clean water is going to have in Sierra Leone that we have once again chosen to partner with charity:water in honor of Ben’s 22nd birthday.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

We started this fundraising campaign in honor of Ben's 22nd birthday to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and we're looking for anyone who can help us.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
