The response was staggering—our goal was met so many times that we had to reset the cap several times as Hyo fans continued to literally overwhelm us with their generosity. We could not have been more proud of being part of such a passionate community, and for such a good cause.

According to Charity: Water, the people of the Rugoti Chez Barahebuje Community in Rwanda (mostly women and girls) used to walk up to two hours to collect water for their families. The water wasn't safe to drink and often made people sick. But because of your generosity through our campaign, they now not only have direct access to clean and safe drinking water, but workers and leaders trained in hygiene and sanitation so that the community can continue to thrive.

Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
