Wa·ter: /ˈwôdər,ˈwädər/- (noun)- a necessity to life that 663 million people in this world lack.

I want you to imagine this: you open your front door and find a young boy collapsed on your doorstep. His name is Isaiah. His dream is to become a school teacher for his community. All he simply needs from you is some clean water. That's all he needs, the very thing that we have an abundance of. In that moment, would you help this boy?

The answer is of course, who wouldn't help a dying child in need if they easily had the ability to do so? The ultimate question then becomes this: Should it make a difference whether that boy is collapsed on your doorstep or halfway across the world? If you easily have the ability to prevent a mother from having to dig her child's grave, is there any justifiable reason not to help?

By the time you've read this far, a child has died because they lacked access to clean water. Every two minutes following this very moment, another child will die. By the time you go to bed tonight, 960 children will have died due to water related illnesses.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

My friends, Amir Hossain, Omar Zahid, Nour Awad, Sayed Hamideh, and I (Omar Alnatour) plan to help charity: water build a water well for an entire community in Africa on behalf of our charity organization, The Giving Games Foundation. But we need your help, these children need your help. It's a crazy huge goal, but do you know what's crazier? Not doing anything.

I won't ask you to donate out of your own money. What I ask is even simpler: give up just one Starbucks drink or one fast food meal in order to help provide these children with the water that they so desperately need.

I promise you that no donation is too small. In fact, every $1 invested in clean water can yield $4–$12 in economic returns. So you donation will not only help provide clean water to thousands of people for years to come, but it will also help their communities economically.

The overhead costs for this project have been covered so 100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects. This is our promise.

And when this fundraiser is complete, this page will be transformed into an update page where you will first be able to find GPS coordinates of the exact community you have helped. Soon after, photos and videos of that community will flood this page and you will be to tell your friends and family: "You see that child right there? I helped give them another chance at life."

I conclude by saying this: At the end of the day, we will always be best defined by what we are willing to do for those that can do nothing for us. Here is your chance to define yourself.
