TODAY, you can save a life! 663 million people around the world don't have clean water. This causes 1,400 children to die from diseases every day. But there is a solution from charity:water that includes digging wells, protecting springs, and installing filtration systems.
Hello, my name is Aashi Mendpara and I am a student in Orlando at Windy Ridge School. I was recently introduced to charity: water and I thought it was an incredible idea. I went to India in the summer of 2016 and got to see the horrors of thirst. My most vivid memory is seeing a boy drinking water from a muddy puddle when I was drinking from a bottle of water. It made me think how fortunate we are to be in a country where clean and safe water is available.
To give back to my community, I created "legacy: windy ridge" an eighth grade class initiative. This is an opportunity for you to join with all of the students of Windy Ridge to "leave a legacy" and make a difference in the world.

Hi there! It's been almost TWO years since the last update and I am incredibly happy to say our water project is complete! We served 1344 people with a tap system in Dobwo Community, Mali.
Words can't express how grateful I am for all of you! Thank you for all your support these last two years. You believed a group of 14 year olds on a mission to change the world and I will be forever appreciative. A special thank you to Mrs. Helton, for the constant support, love, and motivation. We have left our lasting legacy in the world, Windy Ridge (co 2021)! Thank you, thank you, and thank you.
