Charity Water has been on of my favorite charities to promote over the past few years, mostly because 100% of what they raise goes into the field. I am also a big fan of their "Donate a birthday" plan. it is simple: You start a campaign and encourage others to donate the same number of dollars as your age at that birthday.

This year Dillon has a rough birthday. For the first time in his life he asked for a formal birthday party with all his friends. Unfortauntely, a global pandemic has cancelled those plans. On April 23rd he will be seven, and since we cannot give himt he party he desired I want to instill in him a since of gratitude.

We are blessed, but as my former pastor Daron Earlewine once taught me, in that blessing there is a responsibility to return said blessing. I want to make sure Dillon learns that lesson as well.

So I am donating his birthday. Since he is 7 I am asking for $7. Every dollar goes to Charity Water and straight intot he field, giving water to those who need it the most.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
