Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

We started this fundraising campaign to help people who are truly in need. Charity:water has the resources to build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who is willing to bring relief to those in need. For many of us there is little sacrifice involved, for some it may be giving up: restaurant food for a month, or coffee shops, or ice cream, or buying unnecessary things like a 6th pair of shoes or another change of clothes, or going on vacation, or investing in a sport or hobby. There are so many things we just don't NEED that we can wait on buying or forsake all together, so someone else can simply drink a clean glass of water everyday. Please consider what you do not need so that others with true needs can be relieved of their suffering. Thank you!
