When I first met Scott nine years ago, he told me he'd never date a girl with a tattoo. Seeing as how I kind of liked him back then, I decided I was ok with that.

Then this September happened.

The staff at charity: water committed to doing crazy things if our c:w team could raise 100K this month. We pulled ideas out of a hat -- crazy, random, stupid ideas -- each of us wanted to do our part to help people get clean water.

I pulled out mine. As I unfolded the piece of paper slowly in front of the entire staff, I wondered what it was going to say. Am I going to have to swim across the Hudson River? Eat frog legs in my underwear? Jump out of an airplane?

Terrified, I looked down at the words in my hands:

They said: GET A CHARITY: WATER TATTOO.

Wow. I love charity: water...but this is extreme.

However, I can't let the team down, and I certainly can't disappoint the people who are waiting for me to permanently mark my body so they can drink clean water.

So here's the deal:

If the collective c:w team can raise $100,000 this September, which is enough to give TEN villages clean water, I will get the c:w logo tattooed on my body. And many of my co-workers will also do equally embarrassing and crazy things.

Because there are still 663 million people on the planet without clean water, and the craziest thing we can do is nothing.
