On March 6th, Vivienne will celebrate her 4th birthday, and this year we'd like to use it as an opportunity to shape the type of person we hope she becomes.

From an early age, we aim to teach Vivienne the importance of being charitable with her time and money. We want her to be aware of the responsibility she has to look after those less fortunate than her and to fully understand the impact she can have in bettering the planet.

For that reason, we are asking friends and family to forgo buying Vivienne gifts for her upcoming 4th birthday, opting instead for the greatest gift of all: a donation in her name to help those in need.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections, and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world — all at a very affordable cost.

We started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world. We hope you will join us in providing clean water to impoverished communities around the world.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community ALL OF YOU have helped.

While she may not fully comprehend the lasting impact of this right now, Vivienne will grow up knowing that she’s changed the lives of people she’ll probably never meet, and it was all made possible by her loved ones making selfless donations in her name.
