What does clean water in the developing world have to do with residential real estate in New York City?

For many New Yorkers, ‘the hunt’ for real estate is a pre-occupation, but in the developing world it is the search for Clean water which is a pre-occupation.

We take clean water for granted. We turn on our faucets, showers, and sinks fully expecting clean water to flow. In New York, we even wash our sidewalks with clean water. But what is common for us, is illusory for others. Over 800 million people lack access to clean water – that’s almost 1 in every 8 people on the planet.

Warburg is committed to using a portion of our earnings to supporting charity: water. We pledge to fund at least one new well every 90 days, which will provide clean drinking water to thousands of people in need throughout the developing world.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
