As knitters, crocheters, creators, makers - we are about spreading love to all those around us. I originally started Woolberry Fiber Co. with the intention of donating money to help build a well for this amazing organization so that families will never have to worry about whether their water is safe or not.

I know that $10,000 sounds like a lot, but if I know anything about the fiber community is that when there is a need others come around and support. What better way to show the world true compassion and community than to bless those we may never meet with a gift of life-giving water.

I will continue donating monthly to this amazing organization, but I would love to have a well built not only by the purchases received through the shop but through the self-less generosity that flows out of the fiber community.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped. A well built by a bunch of knitters, crocheters, weavers, and spinners...how amazing!!!
