Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

Hey everyone! Have you ever counted how much money you spend on beer or alcohol in a weeks time? It adds up right? That is, unless you're a lightweight like me! I am challenging all of my friends to go sober for ONE week. A little crazy, I know. "Yvette! Don't mess with MAH BEER!" I'm ready to receive the backlash for this. But it's all for a good cause! This campaign is for people who don't have beer to drink... or clean water. Because of poor sanitation, many people get sick from their water sources around the world. This is your chance to help them out! By being a Sober-Sally for week, SAVING the money you would spend on beer, and donating it instead, lives could be saved. Are you up for the challenge?
Some would say that the average spending rate on alcohol is about $45 a week. If it be more, no judgements here! Hopefully this can even help us get more mindful of our spending habits and force us monitor our finances. The BEST way to do this challenge is to drink a normal week away and KEEP TABS on your spending. But of course, party it up. Add it up, and when the next week starts, donate the amount you spent, but don't drink that week! If you already know your expenses, that's cool too.Can't take the challenge? Donate whatever you want because every bit helps. 100% of the proceeds go to charity: water.
