Afford Anything

Read Mission Statement

TL;DR -- Let's raise enough money to build a well!
_____
Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I'd like the Afford Anything community to fully sponsor one water project. We can build a specific, tangible, GPS-identifiable project that brings water to hundreds of people.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

My goal is for the Afford Anything community -- this tribe of readers, listeners and viewers who are passionate about money and life -- to become the sole, 100% sponsors of a specific water project, one that can be identified by GPS coordinates and photos. Something that we can point to and say, "we built that." And I'd like us to raise this money by the end of 2018.

Please give $100 or more so that we, the Afford Anything community, can bring clean water to a community that needs it.

Thank you.

As a long-time supporter (and fundraiser!) of charity: water, and a long-time listener to the podcast, I gleefully admit that your interview with Scott was my favorite episode yet. You do great work. charity: water does great work. Happy to donate to both!
