Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.

Private donors cover our operating cost so that 100% of all public donations can go directly to water project costs.

I drink water every day. But millions of people around the world don’t have any access to clean, safe water. I am one of the lucky ones, growing up in a country where clean water pours from our taps. So, to celebrate my 60th birthday on August 10, please help me to get clean water to some of the people who don’t have that luxury - to the people who might not have the chance to celebrate 60 years on the planet.

When I read about charity: water, I was really impressed with their work. And it made me want to help them to follow their passion. I had no idea that, every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this birthday fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I hope you will feel inspired to help me.

Please donate to my 60th birthday campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
