All I ever wanted for my 19th Birthday is CLEAN WATER!

Hi, Gilbert here and I am turning 19 soon. As always, I am not someone who really love celebrating my birthday (I guess it is just in my trait). But Birthdays for me, are the occasion for me to reflect back of what I had done throughout the year that made my life more meaningful. I recently learned that millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water and here, I am celebrating my 19th Birthday. I realized that I would like to make this birthday a memorable one by it being less about me, but more about them, our brothers and sisters in Africa, Venezuela, and many other less developed countries where clean waters are still not accessible.

I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know, but honestly, it is an open amount so you could actually donate any amount you like. Every single dollars raised will 100% fund clean water projects in the developing countries. The reason I chose charity: water as my platform to carry out this mission is as it will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped. That's awesome, isn't it?
