It started with my "One Drop Water" project a number of years ago when, through my yoga teaching, you helped me raise $5000.
The name of the campaign came from the idea that
every drop, every donation
no matter how small, counts,
and that each drop is like a pebble dropped into water creating ripples that extend across our earth benefitting people, families, children, in desperate need of clean water.

I decided my ripple wasn't big enough, so I decided to widen the circle, creating Project 50.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury.

Every day, about 1,400 children die
That's one child every two minutes

from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

Clean, fresh water, yes, but not just for a village but for schools, new clinics, new latrines.
Imagine if you had no clean water.
Imagine walking hours to the nearest river to collect water for your family -- water that’s not even clean.
Imagine giving that water to your kids.
While this might seem unimaginable to us, it's a reality for 800 million people in developing countries.

After learning more about charity: water's work, we know we can make a difference in the global water crisis. We're supporting charity: water to help build clean water projects for people in need.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
