We did this last year, we came together as a community and through giving, generosity, hard work and a little yoga, we raised $5000. Perhaps you made a minor dent in your monthly lifestyle, but you changed someone else life! How awesome is that.

This year, last minute, I put together a 2nd Annual Summer Solstice Sunset Yoga Celebration. And that was going to be that. But then I thought of all those who couldn't make it so I have opened a campaign so that more people could experience the powerful experience of giving. Changing the world can be so simple. All it takes is smiling and giving.

Here is what I wrote last year......

Many of us have no idea what its like to be thirsty.

Here in the United States, we use about 400 billions gallons of water each day. That means the average family of four is responsible for about 400 gallons per day.

If you're like me, you don't spend too much time thinking about water - it's everywhere we go. When we're thirsty, we flip a handle or push a button. When we're dirty, we twist a shower knob. When our garden needs watering, when our pasta needs to be boiled, when we use the bathroom - water's just there for the taking.

But for a billion people on the planet, it's not. Millions of women and children have to walk hours each day to get water from muddy ponds and rivers. And much of that water is infested with parasites and leeches. In fact, 80% of all diseases in the world are caused by unsafe drinking water and lack of sanitation.

Here I thought I was doing the world a favor by turning off the tap when I brushed my teeth.

When I learned that only $20 can give someone clean, safe water for two decades, I decided to start a campaign to help. Now, my goal is to raise $5000 to build wells in developing nations. And the cool thing about charity: water is that they spend 100% of the money I raise directly on the water projects. Even better, when projects are complete, every dollar is tied to village and all the wells are posted on Google Earth.

I've never actually been dying of thirst. And if you're like me, you'd like to see a world where no one does.
