I completed my first three charity:water birthday campaigns on my last three even-year birthdays. As I approach turning 2^5, I am dedicating my birthday to help charity:water bring clean water to people in need in developing countries.

If you’ve participated in my campaigns in the past, you already know that clean water is a problem for many worldwide. Roughly 10% of the world’s population lives without access to clean water (estimates range from 650-750 million people). While charity:water and other like-minded charities have made progress on this problem in many areas, clean water availability continues to persist as a major problem for many, and supporting this cause is one small way to help improve the lives of those in need.

Charity:water operates on the “100% model” – a full 100% of your donation goes to serve those in need (charity:water enlists private donors to cover their operating costs, credit card processing fees, etc.). In addition, charity:water shows us which projects we’ve funded once they are fully complete. As I continue my (relentless!) aging, I’m writing to request your financial support to help those who are less fortunate than us. I strongly believe that people shouldn’t have to spend hours daily to access clean water, and that addressing this problem can unlock economic potential for people to better their lives. While the “default” donation amount is my new age (32) or my spiritual age (86), I am thankful and grateful for any donation small or large (my goal is to raise at least $5,000).
