800 million people in the world live without access to clean water. Let's play a role in changing that.

I conducted my first charity:water birthday campaign 2 years ago, and once again I am dedicating my birthday to the fantastic cause that is charity:water (perhaps it's an every-other-year thing like the Giants winning the world series!).

charity:water works to bring clean water to needy people in developing countries. Although clean water is something that I surmise you and I have always taken for granted while going about daily life, not everyone is so fortunate, and supporting this cause is one small way to help enhance the lives of those in need.

charity:water operates on the "100% model" - literally 100% of your donation goes to serve those in need (they cover their operating costs, credit card processing fees, etc. via private donors). Furthermore, charity:water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they're fully complete (donors from my last campaign received an email from charity:water a couple months ago). In order to celebrate my graceful aging, I'm requesting that you donate money to this campaign to help those who are less fortunate than us. While the "default" donation amount is either my new official age (so, $28) or my age based on my personality ($82 or thereabouts), any amounts small and large would be very much appreciated.
