844 million people live without access to safe, clean water. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.

Women and children are mostly affected by the water crisis, as they are often responsible for collecting water from muddy ponds and rivers. First of all this takes time away from work, school and caring for family and secondly usually collected water is full of diseases.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.

Pea 800 miljonit inimest elavad ligipääsuta puhtale joogiveele. Iga päev sureb umbes 1400 last haigustesse, mis on põhjustatud saastunud veest ning kehvadest sanitaartingimustest.
