Girl Scouts Troop 10152 has been studying water over the past several weeks. In our study we learned about how many other communities don't have access to clean water. Not having a basic need like clean water was unthinkable to our girls, especially after learning about what girls in other countries go though to get water each week. It deprives them of the opportunity to get an education, not to mention the 1,400 children that perish each day due to drinking unclean water and having poor sanitation.

It doesn't have to be this way! There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world. We started this fundraising campaign to help charity water build these types of projects around the world, and we're looking for anyone who can help us.

We set what we feel is a reasonable goal, but we'd love to exceed that! Our troop will be ending this fundraiser at the end of May with a special walk where we will carry gallons of water around Grant Park. During this walk we will reflect on the change we have helped to create and discuss how thankful we are to have not only our basic necessities, but also access to great education and extracurricular opportunities.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped. Please consider partnering with us in making a positive impact on the lives of other girls!
