Over the past several weeks our troop has been studying the importance of water. Our last project as Brownies will be to raise funds for those that don't don't have access to clean water. Why? Because as we've learned that something so simple like water can have such an impact on an entire community.

Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. Girls and women are disproportionately affected because it is their role to get the water, meaning there is little to no time to get an education. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

We started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and we're looking for anyone who is willing to help us.

Please donate to our campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help. Our campaign ends on May 30th. We will be doing as water walk on May 22nd to both understand the difficulties faced in other countries, and celebrate the impact we have had in being a part of the change.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
