There are a lot of things I like about Charity: Water. I like that every dollar raised goes directly to help communities in most dire need. I like that every project is documented and proven with GPS so you can verify that the people who need help are getting the assistance required. I like that Charity: Water is totally apolitical and in my mind uncontroversial, simply human beings helping fellow human beings receive access to clean drinking water, that most basic of human necessities.

As it stands now, more than 663 million people - 1 in 11 of us - drinks water every day which comes from a river, lake or muddy hole in the ground. Dirty, contaminated water that has leeches and debris in it. Water that causes disease, keeps kids out of school and takes hours to bring back home.

In the name of Sofia Dale Clark - as a celebratory outpouring in honor of her sixth birthday - let us do our small part to help change all that. To level the playing field. To lend a helping hand. To empower a community and directly participate in changing lives for the utmost better.
