Water for Habin's 24th
I am turning 24 on January 23rd. For my birthday, I ask you to join me in raising 480 dollars, enough money to give 24 people reliable, regular access to fresh water.
Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Children are especially vulnerable: 90% of the 30,000 deaths that occur every week from unsafe water and unhygienic living conditions are in children under five years old. Giving more children access to clean water means far more to me than cakes, cards, and champaign.
The donations will go to mycharity:water, an NGO dedicated to increasing access to clean water in underprivileged countries.
